Every quilter understands the struggle of getting quilt blocks to lay perfectly flat. The Wool Quilter’s Clapper is a simple pressing aid that actually helps! It is two tools in one — a wool pressing bar and a modern quilter’s clapper.
It is a must-have tool for all serious quilters! This new style of clapper has a flat, hardwood base for setting seams and drawing out moisture. The felted-wool pressing bar is 12 inches long and provides a soft pressing surface for opening seams on even the most intricate quilt blocks.
- Get Ultra Flat Blocks — Use the felted-wool pressing bar to smoothly open seams on quilt blocks. Then, place the clapper base on top to keep the seams flat while cooling. This results in the flattest blocks possible!
- Protect Your Fabric from Damage — Sometimes irons are a bit too hot, even for cotton fabric. Use the hardwood base to set seams without the fear of scorching. The weight of this pressing aid does the work for you.
- Work Efficiently While Pressing — The rounded portion of the Wool Quilter’s Clapper is also a handle. The inventive design provides comfort and easy handling so you can be more productive and efficient while pressing quilt blocks. It’s so much better than using an iron alone!
- Never Buy Another Clapper Again — The Wool Quilter’s Clapper is made from high-quality hardwood that absorbs excess moisture. It is sanded and polished smooth for snag-free, flawless quilt blocks every time. The sturdy construction is designed to last a lifetime.
- Angled sides may be used for folding fabric over to mark/crease, or for creasing paper piecing templates after pressing for trimming.
Product Size: 12” x 4.5” x 2”
Weight: 1.08 Lbs
For use with standard irons and approved pressing surfaces. Do not submerge or expose to standing water.
